A couple of our NOHS Choir tenor and basses are starting their experience in Lexington this afternoon at the University of Kentucky Tenor Bass Choir Day! Excited to see the progress and amazing music they make throughout the day!

The combined choirs of North Oldham High School attended KMEA District 5 Choral Assessment today! We are so proud to be rated as an overall Distinguished ensemble this year, and we can’t wait to use all of the great constructive feedback received to shape our sound/rehearsals for the rest of the school year and the future. Special thanks to students of the North Oldham High School Band and Piano class respectively who supplied accompaniment and instrumentation for our event. We couldn’t have done it without them! Now it’s on to some pop music and graduation prep!

Tonight, three students from the NOHS Choirs performed in the University of Louisville Honor Choir Concert! They spent two days refining high-level, engaging, and rewarding repertoire and gave a wonderful concert alongside Cardinal Singers, one of the students in which being an NOHS alum themselves!

Annnnnnd another group of students is off to the races today, participating in the University of Louisville Honor Choir! They are working on a diverse and challenging list of songs through tomorrow night-their concert will be free and open to the public! Excited to see all they can soak up and learn the next 24 hours!

What an amazing week at Southern ACDA and a wonderful performance by our student and his 7th-9th Grade SATB Honor Choir! NOHS was truly represented well-here’s to more choral adventures for our students (the next happening today and tomorrow)!

This week, a member of North Oldham Choirs, Mr. Logan Brodsky, is participating in the Southern ACDA Junior High 7th-9th Grade Chorus. This great honor makes him one of a select few from across 10 different states, and he is having a blast so far! Excited for their culminating concert tomorrow afternoon!

At the beginning of February, a member of our North Oldham Choirs, Mr. Alex Reynolds, after successful auditon and selection in November, got to participate in the KMEA All-State SATB Choir, a prestigious honor for the best student choral singers in Kentucky! At All-State, he had an amazing experience singing a variety of exciting and diverse literature. We are so proud of him for this achievement!

We had an absolute blast on Friday with “Bring Your Friend to Choir”! It was so awesome to see new faces and to just have fun making some music with each other.
