It was great to see so many of you at Homecoming 2017. I hope all of you are doing well. Post current pictures (still school appropriate) here when you can. It'll be a great place to keep up with your classmates. Maybe I'll even compile them into periodic slide shows (yearly or so ...).

It's been an honor to be your class sponsor.

A huge thanks to everyone who brought items in for the Senior Picnic today. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day.

The Senior Picnic is TOMORROW!! Kroger fries chicken has been ordered and rolls purchased. Plates, napkins and utensils are also already in. If everyone could please confirm what you'll be brining tomorrow by 11 a.m. (for hot food ... anytime prior to that for everything else), it would be greatly appreciated. Casey McLean is bringing baked beans. I know what people commented they'd bring when this was first posted, but a follow-up confirmation never hurts. Also, if anyone is off work tomorrow and would like to help set up, serve, or clean up, please let me know. Thanks! The big day is nearly here! Graduation 2017!!!

The senior picnic is next Wednesday following graduation practice. For those bringing paper products and drinks, you can start bringing items in for drop off any time between now and next Tuesday (so I'll have time to get fill-in items if necessary). Food items should be dropped off at the high school by 11 a.m. Wednesday as I'm anticipating starting lunch around 11:30.

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far to the call for items for the Senior Luncheon. Several people have asked about when and where to drop things off. I'll be sure to post times for the picnic next week for those bringing food items. As for beverages and other nonperishables, please wait until next week once prom is over before bringing items in. My room is full of afterprom stuff right now.

Thanks again for being willing to help out. It won't be long now until your babies are walking across that stage. 🎓😳👩🏼‍🎓👨🏻‍🎓

Calling all cooks!

The senior picnic is coming soon and we're looking for a few good cooks. The menu will center around fried chicken from Kroger, but we need some sides to go along with it. If you're interested in contributing to this special senior luncheon, please comment below with what dish you'd like to bring. You can also contact Miss Hill at school via phone or email.

Some suggested side options include (but are not limited to):
Hashbrown casserole
Mac and cheese
Baked beans
Mashed potatoes
Chips and dips
Potato salad
Pasta salad
Cole slaw
Desserts — cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc.

Other options for the non-cooks:
Plates
Napkins
Utensils (forks, knives, spoons)
Cups
Bottled water
Sodas (cans are best)

O.M.G. There are only 10 days (9 really)of school left for you all! Then off to college or out into the workforce or military. There will be bills to pay and responsibilities to take care of around every corner from now on.

But before that all happens there are still a few things you need to take of.

1. Many of you still need to get your community service hours in. We could use a few helpers with various tasks this week getting the decorations ready for Afterprom. If interested, see Miss Hill ASAP.

2. Class dues must be paid. All class dues must be paid ($5 per year) before you can purchase prom tickets or receive your diploma. See Miss Hill to take care of this, or just pay them at the same time you pay for your prom ticket.

3. Check in with guidance to be sure your credits are all in order and your teachers to be sure you don't fail anything at the last minute.

4. Write your teachers a little note to let them know you appreciate them. They've gotten you through these past four years and have cheered you on and supported you. It's nice to let them know you appreciate them and realize just how much they've done for you.

That's it! Enjoy these last few days!

Hey Seniors! It's getting down to the wire, and many of you still need to get your community services hours and class dues turned in. Remember that these are a graduation requirement. Additionally, all class dues must be paid ($5 per year) before you can purchase prom tickets or receive your diploma. It's just two simple tasks. See Miss Hill to take care of these items.

If you still haven't turned in your baby photo or senior picture, you still have a few DAYS to get it in. Absolute cutoff date is Friday, April 28. No exceptions. Don't make your parents, family, friends, and the rest of the community miss out on the opportunity to see just how cute you were as a baby before these pesky 13 years of school wore you down. 🤓
