A weekend to remember for Goshen Junior High Choir!
Last weekend, 58 GJHS choir students traveled to Cedar Point to compete in the Music in the Parks festival — and came home with some incredible accomplishments.
The group earned a Superior rating, the highest rating possible, for their performance of three songs and also took home 1st place overall among all junior high choirs at the festival.
We are so proud of the hard work, talent, and dedication these students and directors continue to show. Go Goshen!

The journey to orchestra excellence starts in 5th grade at Goshen Community Schools!
GCS is proud to offer students the opportunity to begin orchestra in 5th grade. From their first notes at Goshen Intermediate School to award-winning performances at Goshen Junior High School and Goshen High School, our orchestra students are part of one of the premier music programs in Indiana.
Today, our Goshen Junior High School 8th Grade Orchestra visited several of our elementary schools, including West Goshen Elementary School (pictured), to perform for 4th-grade students and share what makes orchestra such a special experience. Next Thursday, they will continue visiting additional elementary schools across the district.
Families of current 4th graders interested in orchestra are invited to attend one of our upcoming sign-up nights at Goshen Intermediate School:
• Monday, May 18 | 6:30 PM
• Thursday, May 21 | 6:30 PM
Students can also participate in summer orchestra sessions beginning in June (check ParentSquare for more information).
We encourage families to explore this incredible opportunity and become part of the tradition of excellence in GCS music!
