Thank you Timothy Cardinal Dolan! God Bless you in retirement!

Once again, we extend our deep gratitude to His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, for his years of devoted service and leadership in advancing Catholic education throughout the Archdiocese of New York. We thank him for his unwavering commitment and pastoral presence in our schools, which have nurtured the faith of countless students, families, and educators. Cardinal Dolan, please know of the prayers of our students and school communities, as we ask the Lord to continue to bless him with strength, good health, and peace, and to reward his faithful service to the Church.

Burke Catholic celebrates Black History Month! Non Vox Sed Votum.

Today we mark the first day of Black History Month by honoring Pierre Toussaint, a Haitian born Catholic whose quiet faith and lifelong charity helped shape the Church in New York. Once enslaved and later freed, Pierre Toussaint dedicated his life to serving the poor, supporting orphans, and sustaining parishes during times of great need. His witness of humility, generosity, and trust in God continues to inspire the Church today.

He holds a unique place in our history as the only layperson buried at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, a lasting testament to a life of holiness lived in service to others.
