We’re excited to welcome our very own Sarah Yoder (’01) as our Alumni Chapel speaker on Friday, September 25, at 9:45 a.m.! 🎓💙

A Bethany graduate herself, Sarah has continued to pour into our community through her work in Intervention and Special Services. She is a beautiful example of someone who not only carries the Bethany experience with her, but continues to live out our mission and values each day.

In her upcoming message, Sarah will invite us to reflect on what it means to come home—to a place, to a community, and ultimately, to God. She’ll remind us that we serve a God who welcomes, a God who searches, and a God who restores.

At Bethany, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens through hands-on experiences, real-world connections, and opportunities to explore beyond traditional academics. We’re excited to highlight an opportunity that reflects these goals in action!

Bethany’s 4th grade students recently welcomed Mia and Trevor, who shared the incredible process of building their very own sailboat—and their even bigger plans to sail it around the world!

Their journey is expected to take approximately three years, and our students will get to be part of the adventure along the way. Mia and Trevor are also spending time with the 4th grade class at Fidler Pond for multiple sailing lessons, giving students the chance to get hands-on experience learning how to sail!

Hello from Bethany! At the end of our first full week of school, our students, faculty, and staff gathered in the Friendship Garden for our annual all-school photo. As we begin another school year, we're grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, serve, and support one another each day.

Here's to a wonderful year ahead! We can't wait to see all that God will do in and through our Bethany community.

Last Friday, Bethany High School students participated in Day Away, an annual tradition at the beginning of the school year to strengthen relationships, build community, and spend meaningful time connecting with classmates outside the classroom.

Each grade participated in activities designed to encourage teamwork, conversation, and personal connection. Ninth grade students spent the day at Camp Mack, where they took part in rock climbing and team-building activities. Tenth grade students completed a scavenger hunt at Goshen College before gathering for a pool party and cookout. Eleventh grade students canoed from Shanklin Park to Ox Bow Park, and twelfth grade students spent the day playing games at Pringle Park before joining together for a pool party and cookout.

Our Day Away gives students the opportunity to develop deeper friendships and get to know new students, welcome one another into a new year, and grow in their ability to come together as a community. We are grateful for a student body that values these connections, invests in one another, and embraces opportunities to grow together beyond the classroom.

All School Chapel is a meaningful way to begin the school year! Together, we worship, reflect, and celebrate our community. Throughout the year, we will encourage our students to find ways in which their cup overflows with God's abundant love.
