Dear Goshen community members and families,
I am pleased to welcome you to my Board of Education page. I am excited to be running for the Goshen Board of Education. As an experienced educator, and proud Alumna of the Goshen Central School District, I know first hand the importance of a quality and memorable educational experience. My childhood experience in Goshen helped to prepare me for my career as a Reading Specialist. I collaborate with colleagues tirelessly to find creative ways to achieve student growth. I work with a myriad of students that fill my day with opportunities to challenge them to be the best version of themselves. I attend IEP and 504 meetings consistently and love the challenge of advocating for my students’ needs. With my background in education, I am confident that I can work collaboratively with other board members to make informed decisions that benefit our schools and students. I am passionate about ensuring that our schools provide the best possible education for all students. As a school board member, I would dedicate myself to adopting district initiatives that support and maintain the high quality and ethics our youth deserve.
In addition to my experience in the classroom, I am also the parent of two Goshen Central School District students. One of which has a rare terminal disability which renders her ventilator dependent. I have faced countless challenges in terms of my younger one’s day to day care such as hiring and training a capable nursing staff to assist with her care as well as assisting in the development of strategies for her to be supported physically as well as emotionally.
My background as an Alumna, dedicated teacher, and role as a diligent parent have helped to foster excellent characteristics and qualities needed to be a successful school board member.
