When you’re a mom of 4, 3 of them, 3 and under…getting ready looks very different.

I took a shower, threw some clothes on, packed the diaper bag and left.

We were spending the day at my parents and I actually did my makeup for my mom. She’s often worried about me…if I’m sleeping enough, eating well, resting.

And while no, I’m not doing any of those things because…well…kids.

I did my makeup to have her see me a little more well kept and it worked! She hugged me and said I looked rested.

I didn’t know love would become four little faces.
I didn’t know my heart could hold this much.
I didn’t know the life I was praying for would somehow become even more beautiful than I imagined.

I’d choose you.
I’d choose them.
I’d choose this life.

Every time. 🤍

In all of my prayers.
In all of my dreams.
In all of my goals.

I could have never imagined such a beautiful life.

I have what I prayed for, and more.

God is good. 🤍

Breastfeeding can be beautiful, exhausting, empowering, heartbreaking, and healing. Sometimes all in the same day.

Whether you’re exclusively nursing, pumping, supplementing, weaning, or grieving the journey you hoped for, I hope you know this:

Your worth has never depended on how you feed your baby.

As a doula, I’ve watched mothers pour every ounce of themselves into their babies. I’ve also watched them carry unnecessary guilt over something that was never meant to define their love.

However your feeding journey looks today, I’m cheering for you.

🤍 Save this for a day when you need the reminder.
🤍 Share it with a mom who might need to hear it too.

Why anyone thinks it’s ok to comment on someone else’s pregnancies is BEYOND me.

Helpful advice from a close friend/relative? Ok with me.

Suggestions on birth control? Asking how I could let this happen? Why I’d do this? Saying “just you wait.” Laughing at how busy I’d be?

BIG NOOOO thanks! 🙅🏻‍♀️

It was sometimes strangers letting me know I’d be ok. Encouraging me to not be afraid, to look forward to my 3rd baby with joy.

And that’s exactly what he is, pure joy in our lives.

If you are thinking about having another baby, this is your sign to not care about others’ opinions. Have that baby if you & your partner so choose to. 🤍

God has always been so good to me, & I was a fool for questioning His blessings during a moment of fear.

Judgment is loud, but my God is much, much louder. 🤍

Normalize celebrating good husbands. 🤍👑

I don’t think loving and honoring women means we have less room to love and honor good men.
In birth work, I spend so much time supporting mothers, and they absolutely deserve every ounce of care they receive.

But I’ve also watched fathers wipe away tears, advocate fiercely, hold shaking hands, cut cords with trembling fingers, and step into fatherhood with so much love.

The same goes for marriages, anniversaries, and everyday life.
The men who show up consistently, love sacrificially, and protect their families often do it quietly.

Maybe it’s time we thanked them out loud.

To the husbands, fathers, and partners who choose their families every single day, we see you. 🤍

He told me about and I insisted on going in for drinks.

Not me getting lost inside and not finding the checkout line. 😂😅 I’m definitely sticking to passenger princess duties from now on and waiting in the car. 👑

All jokes aside, it was nice reuniting even if for a day and being able to spend some time together. Continuing to countdown the days, a littler differently, but still counting.

You don’t have to prove you’re “doing enough” to deserve a break.

The world will always tell you to give more, do more, be more.

But the people who love you don’t need a perfect version of you.
They need *you*.

So drink the water.
Eat the snack.
Take the nap.
Accept the help.
Protect your peace without feeling guilty.

From one mom to another, and one woman to another.

You matter too. 🤍

I can’t help but miss my babies a little extra while supporting families as they welcome their own, brand-new babies.

I always say how birth work is heart work, but it just really is.

I can’t fathom leaving my kids for long hours, not knowing if they’re eating well, drinking enough water, having the most fun, if I didn’t really love what I do. And I do.

Becoming a doula has been such a blessing to my life. I prayed to God many times to guide me in finding my vocation. I read books about finding my purpose & doing meaningful work. Even then, never in a million years would I have come to doula work on my own.

God aligned such a path for me, and I listened.

It’s not always easy, specially with my husband in the military, but it’s true, meaningful work.

I let all my families know that I will forever be honored and grateful to be welcomed in their lives. Even then, I don’t think they realize how much it means to me. But it does, it means the world. 🌎🤍
