Smile, Gorham High School! 😁📸 Our 2026 School Picture Day with Barksdale School Portraits is scheduled for Friday, September 4th.

You can pre-order your picture packages right now! Just head over to the Gorham High School website and click on the Picture Day banner to access the storefront. (Paper flyers will also be sent home soon!).

📌 What to know:
✉️ When you order online, you'll receive a Camera Pass via email. Print it or text it to your student to bring to the camera!
⏰ Pre-orders stay open until 24 hours AFTER Picture Day.
🖼️ Not ready to order? All photographed students will receive a "Proof" later with a second chance to buy (subject to S&H fees).

🌄 Rams in the Wild: Gorham High Students Conquer Philmont & National Jamboree!
We love celebrating our GHS students when they represent Gorham with pride—both inside and outside the classroom! Today, we want to give a massive shoutout to some extraordinarily dedicated GHS sophomores from Boy Scout Troop 73.

🥾 53 Miles, 11,000+ Feet, 0 Excuses
After 18 months of intense preparation—including 75 miles of prep hikes through Maine winters, balancing school, sports, clubs, and learning to drive—seven of our GHS boys spent two weeks hiking the rugged New Mexico desert at Philmont Scout Ranch!

Youth-Led Leadership: These young men engineered every single aspect of their trek—from navigation and itinerary planning to setting up and breaking down camp each day.

Summiting Heights: They conquered multiple peaks over 10,000 feet, including summiting Big Red (11,020 ft) and waking up at 3:00 AM to catch the sunrise atop Schaefer’s Peak.

Talk about grit! Just four days after returning from New Mexico, these devoted Scouts were right back at it, heading off for another week at Summer Boy Scout Camp.

🏕️ Representing Maine on the National Stage
The Ram pride doesn't stop in New Mexico! Another GHS student is currently spending 10 days in West Virginia representing the entire state of Maine at the Boy Scout National Jamboree.

These boys have been scouting together since kindergarten, traveling all over New England and Canada, and consistently making our community proud.

We are so proud of Mr. Hawkins!

Earlier this month GHS Music Teacher Isaac Hawkins won the Manilow Music Teacher of the Portland Area and got to meet "the man" himself! So cool! Congratulations Isaac!
