Metro North School Metro North School offers a Christ centered half day program to meet the needs of preschool children ages two through four in a loving environment.

Metro North School offers half-day programs for children from age 2 through kindergarten. Our intention is to help children develop by providing an educational experience of lasting value, while including God's word and providing a loving and caring environment.

❤️ What do you love most about working with children?
“Working with kids is so rewarding. I love hearing the funny things they say and watching them finally master a skill they’ve been working hard on. Every day is a new adventure, and I’m thankful for the part I get to play in helping them learn and grow each day they’re in our class.”

🏡 What is one thing you hope each child and family feels while they’re part of the Metro North community?
“A sense of belonging.”

Ms. Jennifer used to be a therapeutic foster parent!

We’re so thankful for Ms. Jennifer’s caring heart and the joy she brings to the classroom. This week, we’re excited to introduce Ms. Donna Bowman, our wonderful 3-Year-Old Assistant Teacher at Metro North School! 💙

👋 Name & Position: Donna Bowman, 3-Year-Old Assistant Teacher

📚 How long have you been at Metro North?
Ms. Donna has been part of the Metro North family for 4 years, serving as both an aide and substitute teacher. She’s excited to once again serve as an aide this year!

❤️ What do you love most about working with children?
“Children have such unique, God-given personalities, and I love getting to know each child individually. My hope is to lovingly and positively nurture each child in a way that brings out their creativity and confidence, helping them to be the very best they can be.”

🏡 What is one thing you hope each child and family feels while they’re part of the Metro North community?
“I hope that every child and family member will truly experience the loving presence of the Lord. I hope they feel extremely safe, very cared for, and loved by all who serve at Metro North!”

🐬 Fun Fact:
Ms. Donna once had the amazing experience of swimming and interacting with dolphins and stingrays!

📚 How long have you been at Metro North?
This is Ms. Kate’s first official year at Metro North, but she has been part of our school as a substitute teacher for the past two years!

“I love watching children learn through play, build friendships, and gain confidence in themselves!”

🏡 What is one thing you hope each child and family feels while they’re part of the Metro North community?
“I hope every child and family feels genuinely welcomed, valued, and like they truly belong. I hope MNS becomes a place where they feel supported, encouraged, and excited to be—and excited to learn about Jesus.”

🍁 Fun Fact:
Ms. Kate was born and raised in the tiny state of Vermont!

This week, we’re excited to introduce Ms. Kim Kepner, one of our wonderful classroom aides at Metro North School! 💙

Ms. Kim has been part of the Metro North family for 4 years and is excited to begin her 5th year!

“I love working with children because they bring excitement and joy to everything they do.”

“I hope each family at Metro North can feel how much we truly love each child and that we want to be there for the whole family.”

Ms. Kim was once part of a circus act and even performed with white tigers!

This week, we’re excited to introduce Ms. Laura Williams, our Two’s Assistant Teacher who helps make each day extra special for our little learners! 💙

👋 Name & Position: Laura Williams, Two’s Assistant Teacher (Monday–Friday)

📚 How long have you been at Metro North?
This is Ms. Laura’s first official year at Metro North, but she also spent time subbing with us last year!

❤️ What do you love most about working with children?
“I love witnessing each child blossom as they grow and get more comfortable with school! Watching their love for Jesus, their curiosity of the world around them, and their genuine innocence and care for each other remind me to slow down and have more grace, patience, and gratitude.”

🏡 What is one thing you hope each child and family feels while they’re part of the Metro North community?
“I hope every family feels a sense of community when they walk in the door. Parenthood isn’t always easy, and having like-minded families in a similar stage of life can help everyone enjoy all of the chaos of toddlerhood.”

🌊 Fun Fact:
Ms. Laura grew up on the water in Washington State and loves to inner tube and wakeboard!

Ms. Scarlett started at Metro North as a Substitute Teacher during the 2023–2024 school year!

❤️ What do you love most about working with children?
“I love working with children! It’s a joy seeing them learn about Jesus, discover new things for the first time, and seeing the delight on their faces as they figure things out. I love watching them develop into the individuals they are learning to be each and every day.”

🏡 What is one thing you hope each child and family feels while they’re part of the Metro North community?
“I hope each child and family truly feels loved and cared for while they are at Metro North School. I pray that we are able to display the love of Christ to our students and their families each and every day.”

🎨🐱 Fun Fact…. or three!
Ms. Scarlett was adopted at birth, enjoys painting with acrylics, and loves cats, big and small!

We’re so thankful for the love, faith, and joy Ms. Scarlett brings to her classroom and our Metro North community. We’re blessed to have her as part of our teaching team! 💙
