Last year, we hosted our first STEAM Career Exploration Day, and it was a tremendous success. Our students were inspired by real professionals who shared their passions, experiences, and hands-on learning. This year, we are eager to make an even greater impact, but we cannot do it without you.

We are seeking volunteers from STEAM fields to participate in our Annual STEAM Career Day on Thursday, April 23 (8:00 AM – 2:30 PM). Whether you can join us for part of the day, the full day, or even virtually, your time and expertise will directly influence the aspirations of our students.

Your participation will:

Help students connect their learning to real-world careers

Expand their vision for college and career opportunities

Provide representation that allows them to imagine themselves in STEAM fields

Make a lasting impact on their future trajectory

Presentations can be simple and engaging, sharing your career journey, demonstrating a skill, or leading an optional hands-on activity. You will work with grade levels that match your comfort and content, and we will support you every step of the way.

Our PTO Sponsored Move-A-Thon is next week! Check it out!
On March 4th our students will be participating in our annual Move-A-Thon day activities.
Kinder-5th Grade will have an Indoor Glow Run - Wear White or Bright Colors so they can GLOW!
6th-8th Grade will have an Outdoor Color Run - Wear White or buy a White Westar Logo shirt for $5 at the front desk! (Color packets are washable, but please wear clothing you are willing to get dirty!)

Our “Let’s Glow Crazy” Westar Carnival was an amazing success, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support of our PTO, NJHS students, volunteers, families, staff, and community! 💛
