Children 18 years and younger can enjoy free breakfast and lunch this summer at Dreaming Summit Elementary School - children do not need to be LESD79 students to participate.

Before heading into summer break, our 7th graders hosted their annual Probability Carnival for our younger Storm! As part of this hands-on math project, students designed their own carnival games, calculated the probability of winning, and learned how to explain those concepts in a fun and engaging way. From exciting games to lots of smiles and prizes, our younger Storm had a blast while seeing math come to life. We are so proud of our 7th graders for creating an unforgettable experience filled with learning, leadership, and fun! 🖤🌵⚡️

Today we remember and honor our namesake, Belen Soto Moreno, on what would have been her 91st birthday! Her story and legacy will live on forever in our Storm, forever in our hearts! 🖤🌵⚡️

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

In observance of Memorial Day, all Litchfield Elementary School District offices and schools will be closed today, Monday, May 25.

Six awards were sponsored by the Soto-Moreno Family this year. Congratulations to Kennedi and Cole for receiving the Moreno Family Excellence in Education Award, the highest honor presented to 2 students who demonstrated our STORM values in their everyday lives and interactions. Congratulations to Christopher, Leilani, Isabelle, and Aiden on receiving the Moreno Family Scholarships to help them get started with the costs associated with starting high school! We are so proud of these recipients and know they will continue to inspire others through their citizenship for years to come! 🖤🌵⚡️
