A huge thank you to our Soto Storm PTA for hosting a Book Fair Family Night tonight! We had an amazing turnout for book shopping, STEM activities, and Art projects with Ms. Nolte and Mrs. G!
We loved seeing our students and families learning, creating, and enjoying time together on campus. An extra shoutout to our NJHS members and student leaders who stepped up to lead the crafts and make the night extra special!

It’s almost that time! Our Grandparents Day BBQ is this Thursday! Remember that seating is limited to the outdoors. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a picnic outside! After reading Baby Bears in Wonders (our ELA curriculum) last week, our 2nd graders went on a classroom “bear hunt” to sequence the life cycle of bears. Once they found all of the pieces, they used their sequencing skills to put the story in the correct order. Then, they got to read the story to their very own Bear! 🖤🌵⚡️

It was a great day of learning and celebration at the Arizona Amle Middle Grades Summit at ASU! We were proud to have Mrs. Badger, Ms. Thomas, and Principal Frazier share our highly successful 8th grade WIN Time model and the impact it is making for our students. Did you know that for 2 years in a row, we’ve had over 31% of 8th graders perform as Highly Proficient on our state test? We had a special moment when Principal Frazier was honored as Administrator of the Year! This is recognition of the work happening every day across our campus.
A huge thank you to our Superintendent’s Office for showing up to support our team and celebrate this moment with us. We are grateful for leaders who believe in our work and cheer us on along the way!

Today, our 8th-grade student leaders attended the Speak Up Stand Up Save A Life conference at Millennium High School, focusing on a topic that affects us all: digital wellness.
Our students returned energized and full of ideas to share with the rest of Storm! To kick things off, here is your first Family Digital Wellness Tip: If your hands are usually glued to your phones at dinner, try a “phone stack” in the center of the table. First one to reach for theirs clears the dishes! Stay tuned, these leaders are already hard at work planning an incredible Red Ribbon Week at the end of October. 🖤🌵⚡️

Our 1st–5th grade Reading WIN time is off to an incredible start, thanks to our amazing Reading Team: Ms. Erica, Ms. Lucero, Ms. Marisol, and Ms. Shepard! Every day, our students receive 45 minutes of targeted reading intervention or enrichment, working with their classroom teachers and our Reading Team to strengthen skills, build confidence, and grow as readers. This is what happens when a whole team comes together with one goal: helping every Storm student become a stronger, more confident reader. 🖤🌵⚡️
