We have been meeting outside in the Pavilion while the building is under construction. However, due to the summer temperatures, our last Sunday services will be May 26th.

In the meantime, we have lots of ways to stay connected with us over the summer— see the attached photos for the details! ➡️

Good morning! 🌞 Here’s what we are learning in D|S Students on Sunday mornings:

📕 High School @ 9:30am is studying the book of Nehemiah, focusing on God’s faithfulness and how we can remember His work in our lives.
📖 Middle School @ 11:00am is studying the book of Habakkuk and discussing the difficult question “Why do bad things happen to good people?”.

We can’t wait to see you (P.S. don’t forget your Bibles!) 💓

Ahhhh, throwback to sunny days 🌞While we’re not meeting this morning due to the weather, here are some ways to engage with God and one another this morning!:

1. Listen to worship music 🎶 Consider the lyrics of the song. What can we learn from the character of God from the song?
2. Read a passage of scripture 📖 One way to get into daily scripture is through a Bible reading plan. There are lots of options; a great resource is YouVersion’s Bible app. Invite a friend to read through a plan with you!
3. Spend time in prayer 🙏 Prayer is not simply petitioning God for the things we want or need; it is an opportunity for us to commune with God and for our will to be aligned with His. Use the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 as a guide.

🚨 Don’t forget— today is the LAST Sunday we’ll be meeting for our Sunday youth services this semester! We’ll kick off again in the Pavilion on Jan. 7th.

One of our favorite traditions is our High School X-mas Party! We spend time caroling, playing games, and eating snacks together. 🥳

Baptism weekends are some of our favorite weekends! We love seeing our students publicly declare their belief and faith in Jesus. 🌊

Don’t forget— our D|S Students services are changing with the Impact Project! Make sure to check out our previous posts to see what’s happening with the building project.

We hope everyone can join us in main services this weekend to celebrate baptisms! 💙

🚨 Important Info Alert🚨 You may have heard the news that we are one step closer to completing the Impact Project! We will be starting work on the west side of the building, which includes the Youth Room. After 8/20, the west side will be unavailable.

While the Impact Project is underway and the west side is unavailable, Middle School and High School services will be moved to the Pavilion (weather permitting). Right now, we will be pausing our Sunday youth services until the weather cools down. We’ll update our social media and website with a relaunch date as we get closer!

We are continuing to meet Wednesday nights for our Midweek services at the church! We invite Middle School and High School students to join us for games, worship, teaching and small groups. Middle School meets from 6:30-8:30pm, and High School meets from 7:00-9:00pm.

While we know this is a big change, we’re excited to have a new space that best serves our students and families. For the most up to date info regarding the building project and D|S Students, you can head to dscchurch.com/dsstudentsimpact.

Midweek is BACK! 🥳 We’re kicking off a new semester starting next Wednesday, August 9th at the church. Middle School meets from 6:30-8:30pm, and High School meets from 7:00-9:00pm.

❓What is Midweek? Midweeks are our Wednesday night meetups for Middle School and High School. These nights are structured a bit differently from our Sunday services— there is a dedicated game time, worship in the Auditorium, teaching/devotionals, and small group breakouts. We’d love for you to come and check it out!

Join us for a dinner and game night at the church on Friday, August 4th from 6:00-10:00pm. Make sure to wear dark clothing and athletic shoes/sandals 👀

A little throwback to Saved to Serve weekend! 😊

While having a weekend specifically dedicated to serving is great, it’s even cooler to see our middle schoolers serve regularly around the church.

We encourage everyone to find a place to serve— whether you love to greet new people or would prefer to make coffee behind the scenes, there is a ministry for you! ❤️

This Fourth of July, we encourage you to take some time to do two things: Celebrate the freedoms that we enjoy in this country, and consider the true freedom found in Christ.

We can both be thankful for our temporary citizenship in a country that allows us to worship God freely, but also look forward to our permanent citizenship in a country free from sin, governed by God. With that perspective, we can celebrate today with hope, purpose, and joy regardless of our current circumstances.

"Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy...Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
