Our World Music Adventure took us to the Netherlands, where students put their rhythm skills to work in a game called Windmill Rhythms! 🇳🇱🎵

Students spun through a variety of musical challenges, including:
🌷 Naming the missing beat
🌷 Identifying the time signature
🌷 Adding up the beats
🌷 Clapping rhythm patterns

From counting and listening to performing and problem-solving, students had a blast strengthening their rhythm skills.

As part of our World Music Adventure Camp, students had the opportunity to learn the basics of playing the ocarina! 🎶

The ocarina is a unique wind instrument, often called a vessel flute, and has been played in cultures around the world for centuries. Students enjoyed exploring its distinctive sound while learning a few simple melodies of their own.

Shove ha' Penny is a common game played in England. In our World Music Adventure camp we added a musical spin to this game to do some musical math!

As part of our World Music Adventure, students traveled to Egypt and put their note-naming skills to the test! 🎵🏜️

Their challenge? A fast-paced race to see who could build a pyramid first by correctly naming notes. The competition was fierce, and the finish was incredibly close!

Great job, everyone! You all did an amazing job combining musical skills with teamwork, focus, and a little friendly competition. 🎹✨

Diyari Koolchee is a game played by the Diyari people from near Lake Eyre in South Australia. The ball was called koolchee.

In our World Music Adventure camp we added a musical spin to this game to review our musical alphabet and notes on the staff!
