Mental health affects EVERYONE. More than 1 in 7 youth in the US ages 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year. 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14 and 75% by age 24. More than 1 in 5 adults experience a mental health disorder. It doesn't matter your age, gender, s*x, race, religion, creed, or anything--mental health affects everyone and everyone deserves adequate care!

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) reports that people who suffer with depression have a 40% higher risk of developing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases than those who don't have depression or other mental health conditions.

Isolation is one of the leading causes of depression among aging seniors who aren't able to leave their homes as easily as others. Checking in on someone once a week by phone or even just a quick visit can make a huge difference in someone's mental health! 🗣
