๐ŸŒŸ Jumping Into Fun at Uptown Jungle!๐Ÿฆ˜๐ŸŽ‰

This week, students at VAA Sun City enjoyed an exciting community outing to Uptown Jungle!๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ They had the opportunity to jump, climb, play, andโ€”most importantlyโ€”jump their cares away!๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Through all the fun and active play, our students worked on big body movements, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and physical confidence. ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช Each jump, climb, and movement was a chance to build skills while having an amazing time with friends! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ™Œ

Get a look into Victory Autism Academy Goodyear! ๐Ÿ’™

Ms. Aโ€™s class is taking learning beyond pencil and paper! Our Kindergarten and 1st graders are getting messy with shaving-cream writing while building confidence, strengthening fine-motor skills, and exploring learning through sensory play!

Ms. Kpee is putting our Trailblazers to the challenge as they strengthen their money skills and practice real-world independence.

And the creativity is flowing! Our students are using their craft skills to brighten up our hallways and make Victory Goodyear feel even more welcoming.

Hands-on learning, movement, creativity, and life skills all in one place! We love seeing our students learn, grow, and shine every day! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’™

Our Uptown Jungle outing was filled with movement, smiles, and time with friends! Community outings give our students opportunities to practice social skills, independence, communication, and safe movement while making meaningful memories together.

We also slowed things down with Animal Therapy and enjoyed a peaceful visit with a tortoise. Calm moments like these can support sensory regulation, connection, curiosity, and simply give our students a chance to enjoy the moment.

Our Victory Cafe is a great part of our programming here at Victory Autism Academy. The Victory Cafe is student-run and allows them to learn lots of skills that can be used outside of the classroom!

This includes money, communication, customer service, problem solving, food handling, and so many more skills! Our GCU campus high schoolers ran a great Victory Cafe this past Friday. Students got to use our new Life Skills space!

Today was an extra special day at Sun City! ๐ŸŒŸ Our students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in our first Animal Therapy Day, where they spent their scheduled time engaging with some very friendly sheep. ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

Students were able to experience hands-on interaction with the animals while practicing gentle touches, building confidence, and enjoying a calming and positive experience. ๐Ÿ’• These meaningful opportunities allow our students to connect with animals, explore their senses, practice social-emotional skills, and create memories that make learning even more special! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜Š

Weโ€™re only in our second month of school, and our students are already making amazing progress! ๐ŸŒŸ

Some students are graduating from OT and proudly receiving their certificates!

Students are learning their classroom rotations, working more independently, and rocking their teacher-table activities.

We also love seeing students use their social skills, play games together, and proudly show us what theyโ€™ve learned!

Every little step is a BIG celebration! ๐ŸŽ‰ We are so proud of our VAA Lions! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’™
