What have the Learning Llama Crew been doing?? We finished our “All about Apples” series. We learned about the parts of an apple, tasted different apples ( cosmic crisp was the favorite), we tasted apple butter ( they liked it. I was kinda surprised), we made organic apple bread ( I had to agree with the crew, it was yucky. So I put frosting on it. It was still yucky),we read stories about apples, we talked about Johnny apple seed, we did apple crafts, and we learned A is for apple. We talked a lot about how hot it was and that when weather bear says it is 100 we can’t play outside. And it seemed like it was 100 for a very very long time. And we did a surprise letter painting. And the surprise was when I pulled off the tape there was the first letter of their names!!
We have now moved on to “October Fun.” We have begun learning about fall! We have talked about the weather getting cooler! Hooray!! We made a silly pumpkin craft, we have read some pumpkin books and the topic of “what are you going to be for Halloween?” Is what all the crew is talking about.
And of course sprinkled in was Danny Go, what is your favorite wild animal?, Lovey is going to have a birthday soon, building tall towers, yoga, hopscotch, can you find your name?, L is for lion & splat the cat read alongs.
🎃 Families our Halloween/Harvest party will be on Friday the 30th. Instead of wearing costumes we will be making masks. And of course having a party. 🎃
