We are proud members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Sigma Omega Chapter and our Foundation for awarding 5 scholarships to deserving high school graduating seniors throughout our service area. We are honored to invest in the future of our communities by supporting these outstanding students in their educational journeys.

The Greater Baton Rouge Advocate for Social Justice Committee was out in the community informing and reminding residents about voter education, voter registration, and the importance of casting their votes.
A total of 300 voter reminder cards were distributed to local residents, while new voters were also assisted with registering using their personal cell devices. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and encourage civic engagement!

It is always a pleasure to support our school family! The Family Engagement Literacy Event at Duplessis Primary School was a success, with 16 students and 25 adult family members in attendance.

As part of our Empower Our Families initiative, two families each received a $25 Walmart gift card. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in making this event meaningful and impactful! 💕📚

The Empower Our Family Committee prepared and delivered healthy snack bags to students at Magnolia Academic Center for Excellence. These snack bags are intended to help students stay energized and focused during standardized and end-of-year testing. Snacks will continue to be delivered weekly through the end of the school year.

The students expressed their gratitude with bright smiles and heartfelt words of thanks.

Phi Sigma Omega proudly represented at South Central Region AKA Day at the Louisiana State Capitol! We had the opportunity to meet with state legislators, collaborate, and strategize with members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. from across Louisiana to mobilize action and drive meaningful change in our communities. The experience was impactful, empowering, and truly worth it!
