Recently our students took part in one of the most anticipated SBCS traditions: the Move-a-Thon T-shirt design contest!

After days of creating, drawing, and voting, the results are finally in, and a design drawn by a 3rd grader in Jenny’s class won. Congrats!!! Thank you to all the students who participated. Hope you had as much fun as we did.

Don’t forget to save the date for the Move-a-Thon on Wednesday, November 4, 2026! (Event times vary by grade; the full schedule will be announced next month.)

Action Needed: If you haven’t filled out the Parent Alliance Survey yet, please take a moment to do so now. This ensures your child receives the correct shirt size: https://forms.gle/86c5dY8FMG3Q87vKA

Just a standard week in the life of an art teacher... 🌿🎨

Transforming our cozy book nook into an enchanted forest, one branch at a time. There is just something about all that green that completely changes the vibe of a classroom 💚🌲🌳🍃

Would you read a book under this tree? 👇📚

Take a closer look…..
🌊🛑Every piece of trash left on the ground during snack & lunch can wash down the drain and straight into the ocean. We want to prevent that!

Let’s do our part to keep our school clean and our oceans plastic-free. Use the trash, recycling and compost cans pick up after your friends- think before you toss.

To our amazing parents: we’d love your help in reducing this pile! Next time you pack lunch, consider using reusable bags and a bento box instead of single use bags to help us cut down on lunchtime waste.

Maybe we should try a ‘zero-waste’ lunch challenge?
