REGISTRATION PROCESS:

The first step is to contact us to find a lesson day and time. Lesson days and times are determined over the phone or via email. Once we find an open time slot that will work for you, you’ll need to fill out the registration form via our registration page and make your first month’s payment online. After the first month, payments can be ma

de with cash or check. Once your initial payment is received your time slot will be reserved and you will be emailed specific directions to our location. FEES:

Lesson fees are due prior to the beginning of the first lesson of each month. Monthly Student Fees are $100.00 each month; this includes a weekly half-hour lesson. Hi All, so I've just set up an Anvil Guitar Patreon page for Anvil Guitar. If you are not familiar, Patreon is essentially an on going kickstarter where folks can donate money to content creators so that they can create more content. My goals are to use the funds I receive to create more instructional materials as well as music recordings that utilize the concepts in those materials. Please take a look at my Patreon profile and consider becoming a patreon of the arts! http://www.patreon.com/anvilguitar

Patreon is empowering a new generation of creators. Support and engage with artists and creators as they live out their passions!

Attention Guitar Players!

The wait is finally over! As of today I have just released the long awaited sequel to my first book, "100 Major Scale Licks."

I've refined the format slightly and each lick is now 4 measures long! That boils down to almost twice the content of my previous book.

Please follow the link below to get your copy today!

INTERVALS AND ROMAN NUMERALS

Attention, I've added two new tools to the resources page of Anvil Guitar Instruction (Link is below). There is an Intro To Intervals that includes all of the relevant guitar shapes as well as melodic examples to help you with ear training. The other document is a worksheet for determining key centers by figuring out the roman numerals for different chord progressions. Follow the link below to check them out and let me know if you have questions.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT SCALE TO USE?

Guitarists often come to me asking this question. This can be a daunting task if you want to move beyond simple key center playing into more melodic and expressive improvisation. I've created simple chart to take the guess work out of it. Follow the link below and click on the "Scale to Chord Relationships" button. Once you've looked it over let me know if you have any questions. Like this post if you want me to talk more about the individual scales and how to learn/use them.

ATTENTION CHROME USERS, IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY VIEWING THE DOCUMENTS PLEASE TRY ANOTHER BROWSER SUCH AS FIREFOX OR SAFARI.
