Through the Next NC Scholarship, eligible North Carolinians attending a community college will receive at least $3,000, more than the cost of full-time tuition. Those attending a public university will receive at least $5,000. The scholarship combines the federal Pell Grant with the state-funded financial aid program to form a simplified and predictable scholarship award that's easier to understand and makes education more affordable for most North Carolinians.

Just fill out the 2026-2027 FAFSA. If you're eligible, you'll receive the NextNC Scholarship. There are no additional forms or applications to fill out. Learn more at nextncscholarship.org.

The 2026-2027 Golden LEAF Scholarship application is open for students enrolled full-time at WCC!

This scholarship provides up to $2,250 annually for curriculum students and $1,850 annually for Workforce and Continuing Education students. Awards can be applied toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, childcare expenses related to attending classes, and credential testing upon course completion.

Applications must be submitted by September 15 to receive funds for the fall 2026 semester. Visit waynecc.edu/scholarships/ to apply.
