Tutor Time With Mallory

Good Morning everyone. My deepest apologies that I haven't posted the "Word Of The Day." I have also been working on other projects. Today's daily word of the day is shenanigans. Shenanigans is an informal word used to refer to activity or behavior that is either not honest or proper, or is mischievous or high-spirited. Its oldest meaning, and the one most likely to be encountered as the singular shenanigan, is “a devious trick used especially for an underhanded purpose.” "The CEO resigned amid accusations of financial shenanigans and dubious deals." Did You Know? Fool us once, shame on you; fool us twice, shame on us. Either way, we call it shenanigans, employing a word whose history is as slippery as the monkey business it names. We know that the word likely first appeared in print in the 1850s in the western United States. But most theories of its genesis assert that it was born in the British Isles, with potential origin words referring to such things as silly behavior, feigned illness, and a sweet rum-beer libation. Although the “underhanded trick” sense of the word is oldest, the most common senses in use now are those referring to the dishonest or improper activity of “political shenanigans,” or to the high-spirited or mischievous behavior of “youthful shenanigans.”

Good Afternoon everyone. As of last Wednesday, I celebrated my 5th anniversary with Tutor Time With Mallory, which is a good milestone. I just want to say thank you to all my supporters, clients, family/friends for all the continued blessings that you have bestowed upon me by allowing me to assist in your child(ren)'s education. As of Wednesday, March 21. Tutor Time With Mallory has celebrated 5 years in business. *PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT* I would like to reiterate my cancellation policy. *CANCELLATIONS* When a parent cancels within 12 hours of the start time via their contract, you will be notified and asked to waive or charge the cancellation fee. *LATE FEE* ($5.00 late fee applied after every 15 minutes, without notification). Late fee will be applied effective immediately. *CANCELLATIONS* Cancellations made within 12-24 hours will be considered a NO SHOW. MORE THAN THREE CONSECUTIVE NO SHOWS WITHIN THE SAME WEEK WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF PRIVILEGES. Once you have had more than 3 consecutive (4 warnings):
1 warning = Late
2 warning = Not Doing The Work
3 warning = 3 consecutive reschedules
4 warning = Communication
will result in termination, without notification, you will receive a notice terminating all services, until further arrangements can be made to reconcile all services. If you would like to reconcile all services, any missed sessions and payment beyond 5 months is due immediately and tutoring sessions will need to be made up (No exceptions) *
