Oh what fun! The kids at afterschool are enjoying their break from school.

It was wonderful having all our families celebrate with us for the Annual Thanksgiving Feast!

The Creative Academy School Age children donated food to The Salvation Army of Goldsboro yesterday, combining fun with a valuable lesson on the importance of community involvement. We appreciate the support of our parents who donated food to make this possible.

Creative Academy's Preschool and Pre K students visited Brookdale Senior Living on Halloween and had a wonderful time. The School Age children enjoyed a Halloween Party.

Teacher workdays are always a great time for our Creative Academy school age kids! We visited Son Light Farms in Kenly. We learned about agriculture, went on a hayride, enjoyed the pillow jump and slide, and many other fun activities. We ended the day with a pumpkin. 🎃

At Creative Academy today, grandparents were treated to breakfast and given an opportunity to see what the children have been learning. We are grateful for the grandparents who joined us and know these memories are so special!

The Afterschool kids are now back in school and adjusting to their new schedules. After completing homework everyday, they have been going outside to play. They have been really enjoying the fall-like weather and making new friends.

Day 5 of Teacher Appeciation Week!

Today we celebrate our Pre-K Teachers: Ms. Rebekah and Ms. Cheyanne as well as our Afterschool Teacher Ms. Wendy!

Ms. Rebekah has been a teacher at Creative Academy since 2022. She serves as a Co-Lead Teacher. She brings such excitement and fun to the classroom and really has a great connection with all the children and families. Rebekah enjoys readings and has 2 cats: Max and Kevin. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite food is Mexican. One interesting fact about Ms. Rebekah is that she is a twin!

Ms. Cheyanne has been a teacher with Creative Academy since 2019. She also serves as Co-Lead Teacher. Cheyanne brings such creatvity and imagination to the classroom with her student projects and creations. Cheyanne enjoys crafting and going to the beach. She is an animal lover and has a multitude of animals: 3 Cats - Slime, Sizzy & Black Cat, 1 Dog - Chester, 1 Lizard - Spiro, 1 Hamster - Doodle as well as a few frogs, fish and snails. Her favorite color is pink. One interesting fact about Cheyanne is that she will be traveling out of the country for the first time this year.

Mrs. Wendy is our Afterschool Teacher/School Age Coordinator. She started with Creative Academy in 2024. She plans and coordinates all of the activities and outings planned for the school age children. Wendy provides a fun and nurturing environment and has been such a blessing to our school age program! Wendy enjoys sitting on her front porch and reading a book as well as going to the beach and watching baseball. She has 2 teenage boys: Luke and Levi and a cat named Kit-Kat. Her favorite color is blue and she loves coffee! One interesting fact is that her husband and her are highschool sweethearts and just celebrated their 24th anniversary in February.

Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week!

Today we celebrate our Preschool Classroom Teachers: Ms. Kayla and Mr. Sami!

Kayla joined our teaching team in 2024. She has been a wonderful asset to our Preschool Classroom and brings excitement and joy to the children she serves. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys shopping, her favorite colors are neutral based colors of all kinds, and she loves to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Kayla also enjoys exploring the outside world.

Sami joined our teaching team in early 2024 as a floater and substitute. He was promoted to Assistant Teacher shortly thereafter. Sami has such a big heart and truly does love helping young children learn and grow. Sami enjoys hiking, reading, Badminton and baking. Sami's favoriite colors are orange and purple, and his favorite food is a Philly Cheesesteak. An interesting fact is that when he was a child, he had a cat named "Bad Kitty."

Day Three of Teacher Appreciation Week!

Today we celebrate our Toddler Classroom Teachers: Ms. Tani and Ms. Breone.

Toddler Lead Teacher, Ms. Tani, has been teaching at Creative Academy for 12 years. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to the children she serves everyday. She enjoys singing, dancing, and painting. Her favorite colors are black and pink and her favorite food is chocolate. Tani loves her family deeply and is thankful for peace in her life.

Toddler Assistant Teacher, Ms, Breone, joined our teaching team in 2024. She has brought such a wonderful and bright spirit to the classroom with her joyful and nurturing personality. Breone enjoys drawing, crocheting, and braiding hair. Her favorite colors are orange and pink and her favorite food is a cheesburger. An interesting fact about Breone is that she previously studied to be a Penguinologist due to her love of penguins.
