Goldsboro High School J.R.O.T.C. The “Cougar Battalion” is a very successful JROTC unit.
The origins of this program date back to General Order # 18, Headquarters, Department of the Army, dated 25 May 83 with an effective date of 1 April 1983. The high standards of our program, combined with the outstanding performance of our cadets, has consistently earned the highest honor that a JROTC school can earn – "Honor Unit With Distinction."

As you all may know all of the Seniors are graduating this Friday June 14, 2013. We want to give a special thanks to the cadets that are willing to help out with parking lot duty. This will also be my last year working on this page I hope that the next person the gets this position will keep everyone updated. It was a pleasure to be in the Goldsboro High School Cougar Battalion. Cougar Pride !!!!!
Great job to all the cadets that participated in the Charles B. Aycock High School drill competition today. It was a successful event that was put together by the dedicated men and women of the cadet corps. Thank you to all the cadets that competed today.

ECU Game tomorrow all cadets attending be ready at the J.R.O.T.C. building at 1:00pm dont need money for food we are have a box lunch before we leave for the game only for extra snacks and such Uniform Tan khaki pants and white t-shirt
