DMV will host a School Bus Driver Training Class Sept 21-24 at the Bryan Sutton Center. Attendees must complete a preregistration form and return it to Transportation by Sept 15. All attendees should have a Bus Driver's application on file or be a current WCPS employee.

💜💛 We’re Starting the Year CharacterStrong! 💛💜

At Rosewood Elementary, we’re excited to kick off our year of CharacterStrong with a Kindness Kickoff!

This year, we’ll be focusing on what it means to be Kind, Strong, and Well while helping our students grow into PurposeFull People who lead with understanding, generosity, and care.

We know that kindness can make a BIG difference! Our students will be learning how to build strong friendships, solve problems, show empathy and respect, work together, and make positive choices each day.

We can’t wait to see our Little Eagles spread kindness throughout our school, their homes, and our community! 💜 Let’s make this a year full of kindness, connection, and character!

Friday we reviewed our Eagle Expectations, answered questions, and talked about what it means to be a leader at school and the importance of rules. We encouraged all of our students to lead by example, make positive choices, show kindness, and be their best selves each day!

Parents’ Right to Know Information

Rosewood Elementary families received a Parents’ Right to Know Distribution Form at Open House tonight.

This form provides information about the rights parents and guardians have under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title I, Part A. It lets families know that information is available regarding topics such as:

• Teacher and instructional assistant qualifications
• English Learner identification and services
• State and local testing information
• Required assessments
• Professional development for school staff
• Opportunities for parent engagement and input
• The Wayne County Public Schools Improvement Plan
• Title I Parent and Family Engagement information
• School and district report cards

📌 Families received this form as part of our annual notification requirements. Please keep the information for your records and reach out to Rosewood Elementary if you have any questions.
