💙 A Full-Circle First Day at Dillard Academy! 🎒✨

There’s something special about seeing our Dillard Academy family come full circle. A former DACS student returned to campus as a mom, proudly escorting her son — now a new DACS student — to the lunchroom on his very first day of school! 🥹💙

We were also honored to welcome our community partners as they greeted and encouraged our students on the first day of school, including Goldsboro Mayor Charles Gaylor.

📚 We never stop learning at Dillard Academy!

Our team recently had the opportunity to visit Durham Charter School, a school that went from an F to an A/B-rated school, to learn about the strategies, structure, and practices they implemented to achieve such incredible growth.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from their experience, exchange ideas, and bring new inspiration back to Dillard Academy. We know that growth takes intentionality, consistency, and a commitment to always getting better.

Last week, our leadership team came together to plan, prepare, and set the tone for an exciting new school year! From big-picture goals to the details that make our school community stronger, we’re working together to make sure our students, staff, and families are ready for a successful year.
