From Michelle (MSGT ret. USAF) and me (ex Navy, nuclear submarines) we remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy this weekend and every day. We salute those Gold Star mom’s and families too. In my case my brother, Lt. Pitt Rutter, USN, was killed when his Navy jet crashed in 1985. Always in our hearts.

Mr. Jimmy Williams will receive an honorary doctorate. Jimmy has been a long time friend of the university in many capacities on staff and off.
