Good Morning. I have a little one that was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus, she is 15 months old. Super sweet, very smart,awesome vocabulary.
Today she is going to see the surgeon to schedule a procedure that’s new to me. I have been encouraging the parents but y’all I’m ….. I don’t have a word for my feelings. I did a little research. Her pediatrician stated that fluid has buildup in certain areas of her brain-head and the plan is to place a shunt inside due to significant fluid that has accumulated and it needs to drain. The last few days her balance has been very unstable. I find myself carrying her on my hips more because I don’t want her to get hurt. Ok my question is about her recovery……. has anyone ever been through this?
Dad thinks it’s going to be a simple surgery and definitely is making plans to bring her back to me pretty quick. I just want her to be ok. I’m praying for her. We have her on our prayer list at church. I’m also asking for prayer warriors on this platform to pray for her.
