We at Jeffco Public Schools are guided by the belief that every Jeffco student deserves to learn in an environment free from discrimination. Our antidiscrimination policies reflect that core value and comply with established law. Because both our values and the law remain unchanged, so do our policies.

Recently, there have been media reports regarding an investigation of Jeffco Public Schools by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) related to our compliance with Title IX, the U.S. civil rights law guaranteeing equal protection based on s*x. To clarify misunderstanding, we want to share the facts, how we are responding and why.

At Jeffco Public Schools, preparing students for life after graduation means more than academics — it means creating real, tangible pathways into careers. Through our growing partnership with Red Rocks Community College, Jeffco students are gaining hands-on experience, college credit and industry connections that set them up for success long before they leave high school.

Together, we are rethinking what it means to be “college and career ready” — and making those opportunities more accessible than ever.

That leadership opened doors, including the opportunity to attend the State of the Union, shaping his path toward political science and public service. Now a recent graduate, he's ready for what’s next.
