Joseph Patrick Salcido
11.30.2001 - 1.13.2026

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our brother, Joseph Salcido, a member of the 2022 Spring Pledge Class.

Joseph was a beloved son, brother, friend, and confidant whose strength, kindness, and effervescent personality impacted countless individuals. He was a true individual who brought a sense of grandeur into every moment, interaction, and conversation, no matter how minuscule, and his light was impossible to extinguish. Joseph was an intelligent, funny, and exceptionally creative individual who lived life to the fullest and made sure to spread love every step of the way.

His character and spirit deepened the strength of our chapter, allowing our bonds to flourish. His heart was full of compassion, which he showed through constant support to those around him who were in need. The energy he carried, the joy he spread, and the help he offered made everyone feel as if they were home, and will not be forgotten. The world was truly a better place with him in it.

During this time, we ask that you keep the Salcido family in your thoughts and prayers. Joseph will forever remain a part of this brotherhood, and his memory will live on in our hearts. May you rest in peace, _1784_

Yours in _kai_

Thank you to everyone that donated to Men Against Violence Against Women (Hubbard House). These donations go towards food, cleaning supplies, and the staff who support victims of domestic violence as well as raising awareness for domestic violence. This year we broke the record with over $1500 donated!

Thank you again to those who showed their support, see you next year!

Beta Theta Pi is participating in Men Against Violence, you can find us tabling Monday and Thursday outside Maple plaza and Tuesday and Wednesday in the Student Center. For every dollar donated a brother of your choice will have to run a lap around Kafadar Commons to raise awareness for domestic violence. All proceeds go to the Hubbard House (https://www.hubbardhouse.org/mavaw/). If you donate via Venmo make sure to include the name of the brother who you’d like to see receive the laps!
