We make rockets. Big ones. From scratch. Fuel, fins, nose cones, launch pads, controlled explosives, aerospace technology, rockets: we've got it all.

This is the official page for the Colorado School of Mines Rocket Club. We design, construct, and launch our own rockets all year long. We build everything from small beginner kits, to our own experimental rocket fuel and rocket motors. We have a full lab with lathes, mills, drills, sanders, a 3D printer, and virtually anything else you need to create your very own rocket. Feel free to come knock

Thanks for stopping by our booth at E-days! It was a blast. Open-lab times are Tuesday and Friday from 5-7pm for Spring of 2016. Feel free to stop by at GRL 140 and see what people are working on and to learn about the club. (Go the the lower parking lot by the Geology Museum and find the last door.)

Also thanks to the Astronomy Club and AIAA/Space Society for sharing the booth with us.

Sweet video of second amateur rocket to reach space. Tops out at 3420 mph and 385,800 feet ASL. Thanks to Duncan for sharing the video. Watch for the flames created by aerodynamic friction on the fins!
