Some days 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM and Some days 8:00 - 4:30 PM Mon. - Fri.

JOB SUMMARY:
Partners in Play Preschool is a Christian, play-based preschool. We believe children learn best through their interactions and activities. The director will provide resources and direction to help you make the class your own by contributing your own creativity and strengths.
As a lead teacher, you will:
• Work with the director by providing quality care and education for children ages 2.5 – 6 years of age.
• Maintain a safe, clean, nurturing and supportive environment.
• Develop and Implement a developmentally appropriate play-based learning program.
• Interact with parents to form a partnership relationship.
• Assist the director with special projects as assigned (class performances, potlucks, fundraisers).
• Follow and help children learn our classroom rule of “Treating others how we would like to be treated.”

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
>Maintains a positive and nurturing physical and emotional environment in the classroom.
>Develops and implements lesson plans for whole group, small group, and individual activities.
>Actively participates in and reinforces children's play indoors and outdoors.
Promotes and reinforces children's oral communication.
>Communicates with children at their physical level.
>Guides children’s behavior by adhering to our school’s Behavior and Guidance Policy.
>Follows classroom procedures for health and safety.
>Follows procedure for reporting suspected child abuse.
>Follows our confidentiality and anti-discriminatory policies.
>Follows site procedures for maintenance and security at the beginning and end of each day.
>Must be able to interact with others in a positive manner.
>Requires regular and prompt attendance.
>Attends required trainings, in-services, meetings, and special preschool programs.
>Provides a calm and reassuring presence in the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS:
You must be qualified per the Early Childhood Teacher credentials or willing to complete ECE Teacher certification.
