Officially on patrol!

Thank you to GVPD for helping install our 6th grade School Patrols and announce this year’s Captain and Lieutenant! We’re so grateful for their partnership, service, and commitment to keeping our community safe.
Proud of these 6th graders for stepping up to lead! 👏

We join our Good Shepherd community in mourning the passing of Father Theodore Campbell, who faithfully served as pastor of Good Shepherd from 1983–2015. His priesthood, leadership, and love for this community left a lasting impact on generations of Good Shepherd families.

We are deeply grateful for Father Campbell’s many years of faithful service and pray that he may rest in the peace of Christ.
Services at Good Shepherd:
Friday, October 2: Visitation from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 3: Visitation from 10:30–11:45 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m.
Please join us in praying for Father Campbell, his family, and all who knew and loved him.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. 🤍

So proud of our Fruit of the Spirit Award recipients who were caught showing goodness throughout our school! 💛 It’s such a joy to see goodness shining through our Golden Saints.

We were also blown away by the incredible donations for this month’s food drive for PRISM !! What a beautiful example of goodness in action!

Next up: kindness for November. 🍂

“Do not be afraid to be the saints of the new millennium!” - St. John Paul II 🤍

As we celebrate goodness as our Fruit of the Spirit this month, one of our students gave us a pretty incredible example of what goodness can look like in action.

For our first PRISM collection of the school year, he brought in 7 boxes of donations for church tomorrow! He put signs up around his neighborhood, asked family members to help, and even posted a sign at his dad’s workplace asking for donations. What a beautiful example to us all!

Don’t forget to send in any final food drive donations for tomorrow’s last Mass of the month! 🥫

It has been so fun watching our newly minted fifth graders grow into the next chapter of their Good Shepherd experience! With rotating classes, new teachers, growing independence, and hands-on learning, they are building the confidence and skills that will carry them into an incredible sixth-grade capstone year at GS next year. And, of course, buddy time with their first-grade friends is already a favorite part of the week!

Today, we pray. We remember. We hope. 🇺🇸

As we think back to the end of the year, proud is an understatement! 🖤 💛🎓 It was so special to welcome our alumni Senior Graduates back to GS to walk the halls during our final week of school and high five students, see former teachers and staff, and relive some favorite recess memories. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished—from academic honors and leadership roles to clubs, activities, athletics, service projects, and more! This amazing group comes back to us as graduates from several local high schools and even includes a commencement speaker and three Top 10 of their class in academics! Congratulations, former Golden Saints—keep sharing your amazing gifts and making a difference. We cannot wait to see what comes next for each of you! Good Shepherd School
