💙💛 Happy Pastor Appreciation Day! 💛💙

Today, Golden Valley Christian Academy would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate two incredible men of God, Mr. K and Pastor Ilers! 🙏✝️

Being a pastor is so much more than standing behind a pulpit on Sunday. It is about leading with faith, serving with love, encouraging others, and answering God’s calling even when the road isn’t easy.

We are incredibly blessed to have two men who pour their hearts into our school, our students, our staff, and our families. Their dedication to building a Christ-centered environment and helping raise up the next generation of believers does not go unnoticed.

Thank you both for your prayers, your leadership, your sacrifices, and your unwavering commitment to serving the Lord. The seeds of faith you are planting in the hearts of our students will have an impact far beyond the walls of our school. ❤️

Golden Valley Christian Academy is growing, and we are looking for two wonderful people to join our team!

🌟 STUDENT LIFE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and organized person who can help make GVCA look—and feel—AMAZING!

This person will:

📸 Take pictures and showcase the great things happening at GVCA
📱 Create and schedule engaging Facebook posts
🎨 Design flyers and promotional materials
🎉 Develop fun events and memorable experiences for students
🚌 Help coordinate field trips
🤝 Work with our Parent Teacher Fellowship
❤️ Coordinate community service and goodwill activities
🎁 Help organize thank-you, sympathy, and appreciation gifts

Experience using Facebook and Canva—or a similar design program—is required. Experience using ChatGPT or another AI tool is highly preferred.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Pay: $19.50 per hour
Position: Part-time, approximately 20+ hours per week

☀️ RECESS ATTENDANT

We are also seeking a dependable and positive Recess Attendant to help supervise students during lunch and recess.

This person should enjoy working with children, be attentive and safety-conscious, and help create a fun, positive, and well-managed recess environment.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Position: Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week

Applicants for both positions must support GVCA’s Christian mission and contribute to a safe, encouraging, and faith-centered school environment.

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today marks 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation.

We remember the lives that were lost, the families whose lives were changed forever, and the incredible bravery of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Today, we pause to honor their courage, their sacrifice, and their memory. We also pray for the families who still carry the weight of that day and for the men and women who continue to serve and protect our country.

May we never forget the unity, compassion, courage, and faith that brought Americans together in the days that followed.
