It's always such a pleasure to see our partner schools back in action. Sha'arim consultants were on site at Bet Shalom Congregation HaMakom Program this past Sunday to check in and help make sure the year is off to a great start!

The partnership between Gateways and Jewish Beginnings MN Preschool creates so many great learning opportunities across ages! Trainee Mark helps tend to the JBeginnings garden, getting the various crops ready to be harvested by JBeginnings students. Working in the garden gives Gateways Trainees the ability to build the practical skill set of how to care for the garden and how to identify the different foods they are helping to grow.

This year’s crop includes, Bush beans, Green beans, Swiss chard, Kale, Radishes, Beets, and Strawberries! 🍓☀️

Gateways Trainees have been working on a unique project for our vocational training partner
Moments Hospice.
Trainees have been painting rocks with messages of comfort and care to share with Moments Hospice patients.
This project gives trainees the ability to use their
creativity and share their compassion with others.

We’re excited to see our friends from the Hopkins Transition Plus back with us at the Gateways Vocational Training Program. After a summer apart, this fall semester we are welcoming two student cohorts on different days of the week. It’s always such a pleasure to welcome community partners into our vocational training experience.

Gateways Vocation Training is not like the rest 🙌

We support all Trainees' individual needs in our program in order for everyone to be successful! We believe in meeting each person where they are and providing the support, encouragement, and tools they need to reach their goals.

Have you ever wondered what the Gateways Vocational Training Program is really all about?

At Gateways, we’re opening doors and creating opportunities for adults with disabilities to learn, grow, build confidence, and become active members of their communities.

Because when we create opportunities, we create possibilities. ✨

Our partner school consultants attended the Temple of Aaron back to school parent kickoff this weekend! It was great to meet the families we’ll be working with in person. We are so excited for the upcoming year and to continue building an inclusive environment at our partner schools!

Shana Tova from Sha’arim and J-HAP! We had a joyful High Holidays celebration last week! We designed challahs, decorated fall garlands for the Sukkah, enjoyed apples and honey, and sang songs. Wishing everyone a happy healthy, sweet new year! 🍎🍯

That’s a wrap on our campaign! For the grand finale, we asked each of our Dads of the Week to share their favorite thing about being a dad. Thank you to all the incredible dads who shared their stories and support for disability inclusion!
