When one of our Maple Ave teachers got married this summer, she brought a little piece of her classroom to the wedding. 🤍

She asked her students to answer questions like “What is love?” and “What marriage advice do you have?”—then displayed their handwritten answers on the tables. Their words were funny, sweet, and completely their own. 🥹

Our teachers give so much of themselves to our kids. We love seeing a moment that shows just how much those connections mean to them, too. Congratulations to the newlyweds! 💍🐾

☀️ How does volunteering at RECESS sound?!

We’re considering a new volunteer opportunity for PFT member families and want to gauge interest before we put a plan together!

The idea: have 2–3 parent/caregiver volunteers help support recess a few days each week as extra helping hands and eyes outside.

And an important note: volunteers would NOT be responsible for discipline or managing student behavior. School staff would continue to handle that.

Ideally, we’d create a rotating group of volunteers so this doesn’t have to be a weekly commitment for everyone.

We’re just gathering interest right now, so your vote is not a commitment to volunteer.
