📚As we honor the legacy of Dolly Parton, we also recognize her lifelong commitment to children’s literacy through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The program helps children build a love of reading by mailing a free, age-appropriate book to their homes each month. Children continue receiving books until their fifth birthday.

Families can register eligible children online or by completing and mailing a printed registration form. The program is especially appropriate for Godley ISD pre-kindergarten students who are still younger than 5.

⚒️ Labor Day Holiday — Monday, September 7

Godley ISD students and staff will enjoy a holiday on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume Tuesday, September 8.

Flags at Godley ISD schools are flying at half-staff today in memory of the legendary Dolly Parton, who passed away Tuesday.

By order of the president and governor, U.S. and Texas flags will remain at half-staff through Tuesday, Sept. 1, honoring Parton’s extraordinary legacy in music, children’s literacy and service to others.

💜💛 Make a difference. Become a Mentors Care mentor!

Godley High School is looking for caring community members to serve as Mentors Care volunteers for the 2026-27 school year.

Mentors meet regularly with students to provide encouragement, guidance and a trusted connection while helping them build confidence, overcome challenges and work toward a successful future.

Last school year, 54 volunteer mentors supported 57 GHS students, providing more than 530 hours of mentoring. Now, we’re looking for more community members to join this important work!

🏈 Preseason is in the books. It’s game week!

The Wildcats wrapped up their second and final scrimmage Thursday night, hosting Cleburne at Wildcat Stadium after traveling to Joshua a week earlier.

Now, the 2026 season is here!

🏈 Thursday: Subvarsity teams host Graham and Whitney at Wildcat Stadium
🏈 Friday: Varsity travels to Graham for the season opener

After two weeks of preseason work, the Wildcats are ready to kick off another season of Godley football!

All Sports Season Digital Pass for GHS and GMS regular-season home athletic events

💛 Silver Pass — $15
All Sports Season Digital Pass for fans age 65 and older

🏈 Varsity Football Season Tickets — $50
Select your reserved seat for all five home games at Wildcat Stadium

Adults — $6
Students — $4
Varsity football reserved seating — $12

Most tickets and passes are available online. Silver Passes must be purchased in person with a valid driver's license.
