🙏🇺🇸 See You at the Pole! 🇺🇸🙏

What a beautiful morning at Evangelical School as our students, faculty, and families gathered together to pray for our school, our community, our nation, and one another. ❤️

We are grateful for the opportunity to come together in faith and lift our prayers to God. May He continue to guide our students, strengthen our families, and bless our school community.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Thank you to everyone who joined us! 💙🙏

I've had the privilege of having Dominic in music class for the past several years. He has grown musically exponentially in those few years. This song is hard to sing musically, solo or in a group. He did a fantastic job! Have a listen and be sure to congratulate him. Bravo, Dominic!

For those interested, Dominic has been taking vocal lessons for the incredibly talented Nickie Brooks and last night she had him do a solo National Anthem at Grafton Music in the Park with a huge crowd of over 200 people. I think everyone was blown away by his performance.

Ms. Schenoeweis’s class had an Energy Extravaganza today with science! They did wave energy two ways with slinkies, and also with gummie bears, skewers, and duct tape; and made sound energy with kazoos! What an awesome lesson!!!

I love building relationships with my students. These 2 have been tremendous in class for the last couple of years. I started off calling them the Wooff-Tong connection. We created shirts and wore them today to show them off. Fly eagles 🦅

🍎👩‍🍳 Learning is sweet in Kindergarten! 👩‍🍳🍎

Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Fergurson’s kindergarten class had a delicious, hands-on adventure making homemade applesauce! As they learned about apples, students worked together to explore their color, texture, smell, and taste before turning fresh apples into a yummy treat.

From teamwork to sensory discovery, every step was filled with curiosity, smiles, and excitement! What a joyful way to bring learning to life!

Before and After School Guidelines-If you're interested in the position. It would be from 7-9 in the morning.

Worker Requirements
Communication is key! Communicate with each other, communicate with the students, communicate with their parents, and communicate with the teachers.
We are following the school’s rules. Everyone is required to read the school handbook, please sign and turn in the form.
Note there is a dress code in the school handbook. - No shorts or skirts above the knee
All B/A teachers should be up and monitoring students. There is no reason to be sitting unless you are working with or playing with a group of students.
Even if sitting with a group of students, still be looking out at the other students.
Please do not allow students to go into the atrium by themselves.
Students should not be wandering around, they need to raise their hand.
Students should not be in the hallways by themselves. If they need to go to the office or back to their class room go with them.
Students should not be getting into the toy cabinets without a teacher present.
On the playground, everyone should be moving around checking on students. Do not all be gathered in the same area. Please look at the playground rules.
Make sure that you are using strategies such as proximity, lights out, and other cues when dealing with the students. They have had a long day at school too. Please don’t just yell at the students for bad behavior. Try a strategy, where you say class class, they say yes yes; once they are paying attention then communicate your instructions.
We are using a communication log book, please keep track of miss behavior of students. For example, having to put a child in time out please write in the log book. What the student has done and what was the consequence.
If it goes so far that you need to communicate with the parents please fill out the form for parent communication.
If there is a physical incident, please fill out the accident report. Make 2 copies, one for the office and one for the parents.
If a referral or misbehavior note needs to be filled out then make 2 copies; one for the office and one for their parents.
Please make sure to wipe down the tables, the floor is swept, all tables have 8 chairs, everything is put away in proper spots. Do this for before and after school.
If you have to check your phone for something, that is understandable, but please do not be on your phone for a long period of time while with the students. They are not allowed to be on their phones, so you really shouldn’t be either.
Please if you need a day off please put it in on Homebase. Then post it to GroupMe. Our volunteers/subs are on that group chat.
Try to have requests off a week in advance. Make sure your shift is covered before taking off. Emergencies and sickness happen, just please communicate to the group.
Even if you are switching shifts please let the group know, so we know who will be there.
We get paid every 15th and 30th. You will get e-mailed your paystub, and to log in to see it is your social security number.
I will be stopping your timesheet two days before pay day. That’s when I will send it to the accountant.
We are using the Homebase app to clock in/out. There is a perimeter, you must be inside the school to clock in. You need to message me if there are any issues.
Please try to keep a 5 minute window on clocking in early or late. There is plenty of time to get things set up before kids get there.

Before School Details - 6:45am - 9:00am
Do not let any kids in before 7am!
Teachers set up when you come in. Baskets out, get out rule binder and check in binder, assign grade tables, coloring pages, coloring utensils, write on white board info for the day.
One person lets in the kids, one person checks in students, the others help get them settled.
Students must check in first. They should also put their cell phones in the phone cubby.
Students should put their things in baskets or hanging from their chairs. Not on the floor!
If students brought in their breakfast, they must sit at their table and eat it. No waiting until later, and no toys until everything is picked up.
We do not provide breakfast! Only if there is a special circumstance, but it shouldn’t become a habit of the student.
We alternate days going to the gym for different grade groups. Middle school; 3rd, 4th, 5th; K, 1st, 2nd; Pre School. We go in this order, if the gym is occupied and students miss a day then it will still be their day until the gym is open again. It stays in this rotation! No mixing grades either please.
Go to the gym between 7:30am - 7:45am, come back to the cafeteria at 8:15am.
One teacher must stay with them all the time. Depending on how many students are in before care, a second teacher may help.
Students must ask to go to the bathroom. If a pre-schooler asks, you must go with them. To make sure they do not wander off or misbehave.
At 8:20am have students pick up everything and sit at their tables quietly
Even preschool needs to clean up, and try to stay quiet. They will sit and color more or watch a movie or you can read a story to them.
The first school bell rings at 8:30am, a teacher dismisses each table, only if they are quiet and their table/ floor is clean.
Do not let the students leave until then, if they are late to class then please inform their teacher why.
Do not let the students run to their classrooms.
Students shouldn’t be going to other classrooms, unless a teacher has messaged me saying they could.
At 8:45am, preschoolers will pick up their things, push in chairs. You can even have them help pick up before care. They should be gathering their belongings and lining up quietly(catch a bubble). If someone is being especially good they may be the line leader.
Do not take preschoolers to their classrooms until 8:55am.
Please walk them to their class rooms. Pink class is the only class up the stairs. In the preschool hallway, it goes green class, blue class, purple class, red class, orange class.
Then go back to the cafeteria and finish cleaning up. Everything is put away and the lights turned off. Please check that the cafeteria doors are shut before leaving.
Please do not let anyone in who isn’t there for
