Feeling the Heat!

Students from the Lewis and Clark Community College Fire Science Academy and Advanced Firefighter class got to feel the heat during another successful day of live-fire training!

As always, we couldn't make days like this happen without the incredible instructors and volunteers, time, knowledge, and experience to help prepare the next generation of firefighters. Your dedication to fire service education doesn't go unnoticed!

A huge thank you to Bethalto Fire Department for once again stepping up and supporting our program with apparatus, manpower, and resources. Your continued partnership makes a tremendous difference!

Great training, great instructors, and great partnerships!

Can’t say enough about the support we received getting this project across the finish line!

The carport is finally complete, and we absolutely couldn’t have done it without some amazing people who stepped up with their time, equipment, knowledge, and a willingness to help.

It’s pretty incredible what can get accomplished when good people come together and lend a hand. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who helped make this happen.

Thank you for the continued support—you guys are awesome!

Our BOFF students are building their skills one evolution at a time!

Today’s hands-on training focused on hoisting and lifting—developing the skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities needed on the fireground.

Learn it. Practice it. Master it.

Our LCCC Fire Science Academy students are building their foundation one skill at a time—learning the fundamentals today so they’re ready for the challenges ahead.
The journey is just getting started!

Great to see our students putting their skills to work beyond the classroom!

Nice job, Bryson Nuttall, representing Helena, Montana, and the Montana DNRC while demonstrating his saw skills. We are proud to see our Fire Science students applying their training in the field.

Always great to see hands-on learning opportunities making an impact.

The Burn ‘n’ Learn event brought together education, STEM, and the fire service to give students a firsthand look at the science behind firefighting. From thermal imaging cameras and water pressure demonstrations to fire extinguishers and rappelling concepts, the students got an experience they won’t forget.

Proud to be part of strong partnerships between Lewis & Clark Community College, ROE #40, local fire departments, educators, and community leaders who continue investing in the next generation.

A true team effort with a shared goal: exposing students to new opportunities while making learning engaging and practical.
