Twenty-six 6th grade students from Mr. Condray, Mrs. VanHorn, and Mr. Semrad’s classes were selected for a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience at Textron Aviation. Chosen through thoughtful essays explaining why they should represent Challenger and the importance of the opportunity, these students earned their place on this unique trip.

During their visit, students worked hands-on to build a detailed 1/25 scale model of the Cessna SkyCourier, gaining insight into engineering, design, and teamwork. The experience didn’t stop there… they enjoyed a pizza lunch provided by Textron and toured the production facility, where they saw a real SkyCourier in assembly, bringing their learning to life in an authentic way.

A huge thank you to Textron Aviation for partnering with Mrs. Cole’s class to provide such an incredible opportunity. Experiences like this highlight the power of community partnerships in inspiring students, connecting classroom learning to real-world applications, and sparking future career interests.
