In partnership with Gloucester Education Foundation the four week Literacy and Math Summer Learning Program had wonderful guest readers visit. The Mayor, GPS's Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, an Executive Assistant, and School Committee members read to our students. The books were enjoyed by all!

Alexandra Thompson, an author and an illustrator, visited our learners at the Literacy and Math Summer Learning Program! She told us all about how she became an author and an illustrator, and she read both of her books to us! All of our students got a signed copy of one of Alexandra Thompson's books (Hazel & Herbert and A Family for Louie) to take home, which is so exciting! Our learners at the Literacy and Math Summer Learning Program had a special furry visitor! Rocky, a therapy dog, visited each classroom. He warmed our hearts and brought smiles to all of our faces! Thank you, Rocky, for making us so happy! Also, thank you to Ms. Carlson for sharing him with us!
