From incredible views to rarely seen closets; haunted hallways to decorated classrooms; filled water tanks to iconic G hill; there is no doubt that our district is unique.

Let’s see how well you know GUSD. We will start posting pictures periodically that show some of the lesser seen views within our district. Let us know where you think we are and find out just how well you know or remember us. Some pictures will be easier, some harder and some may even make you laugh. We hope you will play along. Can you see what’s missing? Enjoying the view? That’s right…the 50 yard line light pole that blocked clear field view is down! 👏👏

You read that correctly. Harbison is getting some new lights and the home side 50 yard line pole will be relocated so you can all have a clear view of your Globe Tiger Athletes! Please bear with us as new LED lights are installed in staged increments (they are quite expensive). You can see new LED lights already installed at the 50 yard line on the visitors side. Progress is progress even if slow and we are so happy to have this clear view.

NOTICE: Our district is proud to be able to keep Harbison field available for community use outside of our working hours. However, behavior such as what can be seen in this video is dangerous and cannot happen on our property. Please help discourage reckless and dangerous driving and/or activities on our property or we will have no choice but to lock/block Harbison (including parking lots).

This video was captured at 2:20 am last Friday morning (8/8/26) and is a short snippet of the dangerous driving that took place. The burnt rubber skid marks are still evident in the parking lot. We do not want anyone to get hurt period and driving like this (and watching at close range as a group outside of this camera angle were) can have catastrophic consequences.

If you know the vehicle, driver or groups involved please talk to them so they don’t injure themselves or others.

If this sort of behavior continues we will have to lock/block all parking areas.

Please share so community members/parents see and, hopefully, deter this behavior.
