The District will provide opportunities for student learning for all students through quality instruction, assessments and curriculum that go beyond State Standards. The District will utilize the revenues available prudently and efficiently to provide the optimum resources for teaching, learning and student achievement. The District will provide instruction and guidance to all staff through regular, consistent and meaningful professional development. The District will encourage open communication with students, parents, staff and the community to promote a positive and safe educational environment.

Upcoming Presentation Schedule

Thank you Town of Emerald, Town of Springfield, Village of Downing, and Town of Forest for allowing me to attend your meetings these past two week to have this community conversation: Patrick Olson - District Administrator

As part of the District’s ongoing effort to provide clear and accurate information regarding the upcoming operating referendum, Superintendent Patrick Olson will be attending a number of local municipal and District meetings throughout September and October. These meetings will provide opportunities to share information about the referendum, explain the District’s financial needs and projected tax impact, answer questions, and engage directly with community members. The schedule below includes confirmed presentations, meetings for which an invitation has been submitted, and upcoming GCSD Board meetings where referendum information and planning will continue to be discussed. Additional meeting dates may be added as they are confirmed.

September 21: City of Glenwood City @ 7:00pm
September 28: GCSD Budget Hearing/Annual Meeting/Regular Meeting @ 6:00pm
October 7: GCSD Operating Referendum Presentation @ 5:30pm in GCSD Board Room
October 12: Town of Glenwood @ 7:00pm
October 13: Town of New Haven @ 7:00pm
October 14: GCSD Board Work Session @ 5:30pm
October 28: GCSD Regular Meeting @ 5:30pm

What a great weekend celebrating Rustic Lore Days and the Glenwood City community!

We were proud to see so many of our GCSD students, staff, alumni, and community members involved throughout the festivities. A special thank you and congratulations to:

A very special shout-out goes to GCMS/HS School Counselor, Jacob Maes, for his leadership on the Rustic Lore Days Committee and all of the time and energy he put into helping organize these events. Thank you, Jacob, for giving back to our community!

Finally, a huge congratulations to GC alumnus Brent Standaert on his retirement after 31 years of service with the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department. What an incredible career of service to our area. Congratulations, Brent, and thank you for your many years of dedication!

Days like these remind us what makes Glenwood City such a special community. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, performed, organized, and came out to celebrate 2026 Rustic Lore Days!
