🇺🇸 Congratulations to Our Instructor, Ryan! 🇺🇸
Today, our Pai’s Taekwondo family is celebrating an incredible milestone as one of our longtime students and instructors, Ryan, graduated from U.S. Navy Boot Camp! ⚓
Ryan began his taekwondo journey with us as a young child and has spent years growing not only as a martial artist, but as a leader, mentor, and role model. Throughout his journey, he earned belts, competed in tournaments, performed demonstrations, represented Pai’s Taekwondo in Times Square, and dedicated countless hours helping teach and inspire our younger students.
Watching Ryan grow from a young student into the outstanding young man he is today has been one of the greatest privileges for our Pai’s Taekwondo family.
One of my favorite moments came on the day he graduated. Ryan called, excited to share his experience, and jokingly said, “Believe it or not… taekwondo training was harder than boot camp!” 😄
He also told me that his unit held bear crawling and crab walking competitions, and he won both! We both had a good laugh because those are drills we practice all the time at Pai’s Taekwondo… even our Mighty Mights know them well! It was a fun reminder that the skills, discipline, and determination developed through martial arts can prepare you for challenges in ways you never expect.
At Pai’s Taekwondo, we strive to build far more than strong martial artists. We strive to develop discipline, perseverance, confidence, leadership, respect, and the character to face life’s challenges with courage. Ryan is a wonderful example of those values in action.
Ryan, thank you for the many years you’ve dedicated to our students, our school, and our community. We couldn’t be more proud of everything you’ve accomplished.
Congratulations on this incredible achievement! We wish you continued success as you begin your service to our country.
Your Pai’s Taekwondo family will always be cheering you on!
