As we are getting back into the groove of school, we have a lot of fun FFA events planned for a busy Fall! 🍂 There are a few due dates/reminders for tomorrow. ❗️Barnboard quilt painting is tomorrow after school, come have some fun getting to know other members and earn points to start the year strong! 🎨

FFA Weekend at the State Fair was a success for these members! Very proud of them and their hard work, time and dedication they put in with their projects. It all pays off! Most importantly, they represent our community and chapter well. Way to go! 🌟

Some highlights:
🐖Emma M and Shelby P practiced some livestock judging Friday evening
🏆Raegan W received Grand Champion breeding showmanship meat goats and Reserve Champion black face market lamb heavyweight
🏆Karson E received Grand Champion market hog pen of three and Champion individual herdsman
🏆Max F received Supreme Champion female in the open show with his heifer
🏆Emma M received 5th in class with her black faced wether dam, 3rd speckle market lamb, 5th speckled wether dam and more awesome placements
🏆Bentley L received 5th in class with his colored egg layer

And there were many more classes participated in with awesome placings. 👏🏻

The GE FFA Officer Team had a fun and productive day on Wednesday! We started the morning planning this year's chapter program of activities, goal-setting, and catching up. Then we headed to Rochester and ate at the Purple Goat, and finished the day with 18 holes of mini golf! Looking forward to a great year ahead 💛💙

A few mid-summer updates as the fair is already approaching!
All FFA Members - A reminder you can pick up your fair passes at the 4-H Exhibit Building the week of the fair. After Tuesday that week, they can be picked up at the 4-H Livestock Office (North side of the swine barn)

And a reminder, those members interested in showing at the State Fair, online entries are due August 5th. Contact Mrs. P for the conduct forms and exhibitor parents check your email as a few have been sent out with required forms.
