At Gilmer County Christian Academy, we are continually reminded of God's faithfulness in providing exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.

With Mrs. Vada Woodford stepping down from the GCCA Board of Directors to serve in her new role as Vice Principal, a vacancy was created on our board. After much prayer and seeking the Lord's direction, we are grateful to announce that Mrs. Bronlynn Morlan has accepted the position of Secretary on the GCCA Board of Directors.

Mrs. Morlan brings a remarkable combination of educational experience, Christian school background, and ministry service to GCCA. She is a graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College and dedicated 35 years to education, including teaching at the preschool, elementary, and middle school levels. She also served as a school principal for 10 years, providing leadership, guidance, and encouragement to both students and faculty.

Bronlynn's passion for Christian education began as a student herself. She attended Christian schools throughout her childhood, from a small two-room elementary school to a larger Christian high school, where she graduated in a class of 40 students. These experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of the unique value and lasting impact of Christ-centered education.

In addition to her educational background, Bronlynn has faithfully served the Lord through ministry for decades. She was married to her late husband, Bill, for 39 years. During 35 of those years, Bill served as the Outreach and Youth Pastor at Gassaway Baptist Church, while Bronlynn faithfully ministered alongside him. She currently serves as the Minister of Music at Gassaway Baptist Church, using her gifts to lead others in worship and service to the Lord.

We believe God has graciously provided Bronlynn to GCCA for such a time as this. Her wealth of experience, commitment to Christian education, servant's heart, and love for the Lord will be an incredible blessing to our school as we continue our mission of educating students from a Biblical worldview.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Bronlynn Morlan to the GCCA Board of Directors. We are thankful for her willingness to serve and grateful for God's continued faithfulness in providing for the needs of this academy.

"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it." — 1 Thessalonians 5:24

GCCA students enjoyed celebrating our last day of school with Smokey Bear, Jesse King, and Carl Ballengee, learning valuable lessons about wildfire prevention and wilderness survival. We are thankful for community partners who invest their time and knowledge into helping our students learn and grow.

As we begin summer break, we are reminded of the truth found in Proverbs 22:6 (KJV): “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Thank you to everyone who has supported our students throughout the year. We pray you have a safe, blessed, and enjoyable summer! ☀️❣️🙏🏼

**Gilmer County Christian Academy End-of-Year Celebration**

On Thursday, May 21, Gilmer County Christian Academy held its annual End-of-Year Celebration, bringing together students, families, donors, board members, and staff for a special daytime event filled with recognition, gratitude, and fellowship.

The program featured the presentation of student awards, as well as unique awards created and presented by the students to honor their teachers. Accomplishments throughout the school year were highlighted, and several students shared heartfelt testimonies reflecting on their experiences, growth, and the impact of Christian education in their lives.

A special time was dedicated to recognizing the generous donors whose support helps make the academy's mission possible. As a token of appreciation, donors received a puzzle-piece magnet featuring either a scripture verse or a message of thanks, symbolizing that each person is an important piece of the school family and plays a vital role in its success.

Following the program, refreshments were served, providing an opportunity for students, families, donors, board members, and staff to enjoy fellowship and celebrate God's blessings on another successful school year.

Gilmer County Christian Academy is grateful for the many individuals who contribute their prayers, encouragement, time, talents, and resources to support the school's mission and students. Together, they help create a strong and caring community where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Everyone enjoyed seeing a variety of animals, spending time with friends and family, and appreciating the beauty and diversity of God's creation. It was a blessing to share this special day together as a school community and to reflect on the goodness of the Lord throughout the year.

**“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.”** — *Psalm 104:24 (KJV)*

What a wonderful afternoon our K4/K5 students had sharing the love of Jesus with the residents at Glenville Health and Rehabilitation Center! ❤️

Students throughout the school worked hard to create uplifting letters, drawings, and encouraging messages for the residents, and our K4/K5 class had the special privilege of delivering them in person. The students enjoyed visiting, handing out their letters, and bringing smiles to so many faces. It was truly a blessing to see the joy shared by everyone involved.

A special thank you to Horizons Church Gilmer County, Pastor and GCCA Board Member Kenny Fisher for generously providing snacks for our students after the visit. We are thankful for opportunities like this that help teach our children to serve others and shine the love of Christ.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

GCCA’s 6th grade class had a wonderful day at Conservation Day at Cedar Creek Park! 🌿☀️

Our students enjoyed learning about God’s creation through hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and time spent exploring nature alongside other local schools. We are so thankful for the opportunity provided by the Gilmer County Conservation Office and for all those who helped make this special day possible.

A heartfelt thank you to Jane Cain, Gilmer Co. Conservation Supervisor, and everyone involved in organizing such a meaningful event for our students. We appreciate the time, effort, lunch, t-shirts, and educational experiences that made the day both fun and memorable!

We would also like to extend a special thank you to GCCA Board Vice President Doug Moss for taking our students and investing his time into making this day possible for them. We are grateful for faithful leaders who support and encourage our students in so many ways.
