Our school year has been a little crazy. My oldest wanted to go back to B&M school. My youngest wanted to try Cyber Public school. Both (and myself) were MISERABLE for those weeks. We decided to go back to what we know works for us. So we are homeschooling again. Pretty much AS SOON AS I told the girls we would be homeschooling again, attitudes changed. Frankie (Kat) decided to read the instructions and make chocolate covered strawberries. Then chocolate covered raspberries and chocolate covered pretzels.

It’s a lot of work to set up, but praying our new system works well.

Trying to balance one child who loves structure, textbooks and workbooks for homeschool with one who is more into unschooling and natural learning has been a task. I did a lot of brainstorming and think I’ve come up with a good schedule for our upcoming school year.

Ending our 2021-2022 homeschool year today!! The girls will get 2 weeks off. I’ll use those 2 weeks to plan. My goal this year is to plan the majority of the year before it starts. Now that my hours have changed, it gives me more time to do fun and educational things with the girls. I’ll also be forming a local homeschool group for parents that are working and homeschooling, like me.
