Lyon Elementary School

Lyon Elementary School is one of three District 34 primary schools. Students who attend Lyon for K-2 then attend Pleasant Ridge for grades 3-5.

Glenview School District 34 is a prek-8th grade school district located in Glenview, IL. District 34 and its schools’ social media pages inform parents, staff, and community members about our achievements, events and activities and to make it easy for our community to connect with the District, our schools and individual classrooms. Information posted from the District and schools will be direct,

All School Read was a joyful day of reunion, connection, and celebration of literacy!

Pleasant Ridge students made the annual walking journey to Lyon School, where they were paired with siblings and, in some cases, even reunited with former Lyon teachers to read and learn together.

The excitement and smiles throughout the morning reflected the special sense of community this tradition creates. A huge thank you to the Lyon/Pleasant Ridge PTA for providing the funds to make this meaningful event possible, and to Mrs. Hoyland and Mrs. Storrie for all of their coordination and planning.

The memories made during this day are sure to last for years to come!

Thank you to our PTA for supporting the purchase of Mango Math Game Kits, which align to the math standards taught via our Go Math program. We can't wait to use these all year long in the 26-27 year, but this year's kindergarteners had a chance to try them out too!

Our 2nd graders asked the question "We're Going Places... But Where?"

We can't wait to see where their journey takes them, and will cherish our last few weeks with these Lyon learners. We are so proud of their work and thankful to the team for letting students use their voice to tell their story.
