Alumna Kathy Wilcox O’Fallon '71, recently won the 2026 Henry Morgenthau III First Book Poetry Prize for her manuscript, "Proof of Life." The prestigious prize is awarded by Passager Books, a literary press for older writers. Her work contains poems inspired by her time at Beaver College.

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Diana Perry `22 as the new Coordinator of Athletic Game-Day Events. Perry will begin her responsibilities at Arcadia on August 3rd.

The Rosemary D. Blankley ’57 Gatehouse Arch and Walkway has reached a significant milestone as the primary reinforced concrete structure is now complete. With the arch fully in place, crews have begun restoring the historic character of the landmark by installing the original stone masonry at its base and preparing the structure for the remaining architectural features.

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Mary Pat Murray `20 as the next Head Softball Coach. Murray will begin her duties at Arcadia on July 1.

Week by week, the Gatehouse Arch is taking shape!

With major concrete structural elements now in place, construction continues on the Rosemary D. Blankley ’57 Gatehouse Arch and Walkway. The vertical reinforcing steel, visible above the arch, will tie into future structural and architectural features as the project moves forward.

We look forward to welcoming the community to this renovated campus landmark when construction is completed in the coming months.

Work outside of The Alumni House at Blankley Hall has steadily continued...

The construction team is focused on creating the primary structural framework for The Rosemary D. Blankley ’57 Gatehouse Arch and Walkway. Wooden framing and support structures are being built around the rebar--this temporary framework is used to hold concrete in place while it is poured and cured. Next, is to complete the rebar installation and the formwork to brace the rest of the alterations.
