Three days. Three Graduations.
For our littlest students--our Noah's Arkers and Kindergartners-- last week's graduations each represented an exciting step up the SMA ladder. For our 8th graders, though, graduation marked a momentous move to an entirely new ladder. We hate to see you go, Kerries, but we know how high you can climb! Congratulations, Class of 2026. We love you!

Happiness is....
Field Day at SMA! Many thanks to Coach Tucker and to all the middle school staff and students who made this year's Field Day such a wonderful experience for our Noah's Ark through Grade 5 students!

As the sun sets on their SMA years, our 8th-graders experienced another rite of passage recently, spending two days at Camp Chingachgook in Lake George. There, they enjoyed a hike on Buck Mountain, practiced building a shelter and a fire in the woods, learned how drought and disease affect the ecosystem, and studied the wetlands. And, of course, there was time for songs, skits, s'mores and a scavenger hunt! Thanks to the Camp staff for making the trip so worthwhile and to school staff and the chaperones who made the trip possible!

What a perfect day for our annual Fifth Grade Egg Drop, organized by our Grade 5 teacher Michelle Waters with assistance from her maternity leave substitute Amanda Murray - and made possible by the Glens Falls Fire Department!
Eggs carefully packaged by the students were dropped by Mrs. Waters and Miss Murray from 80 feet in the air from the basket of the GFFD’s ladder truck. The whole school was on hand on the playground to cheer on the fifth-graders, who had great success in protecting their eggs!
Thanks to Mrs. Waters and Miss Murray for this great experience and special thanks to firefighters (l. to r.) Kyle Spiezio and Jarrod Barton and thanks (and congrats!) to newly-minted Lieutenant Jake Sauer-Jones who spent his first day as a Lieutenant here at the egg drop! We are so grateful!
