Glens Falls City School District residents approved the 2019-20 school budget today by a margin of 415 "yes" votes to 108 “no” votes – a 79.3 percent approval rate. The $44.5 million spending plan will increase the tax levy by 2.56 percent, and represents a budget-to-budget spending increase of $244,162, or 0.55 percent over the current year. The approved budget enhances current programs and services, expands student access to educational technology, and stayed within the property tax cap.

Karin Maurer was re-elected to the Board of Education after receiving 448 votes. David Dawkins was newly elected to the Board after receiving 428 votes. They will begin their five-year terms on July 1, 2019.
